What is Pyxis?
Pyxis is software that connects wired smart home systems — KNX, HDL Buspro, TIS, Smart-Bus G4, Loxone, Modbus, MegaD and MQTT — to Apple HomeKit, Matter, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Yandex Alice, Marusia and Sber Salute. It runs on an ARM mini PC such as Raspberry Pi or on a Linux PLC and is set up without programming.
Which protocols does Pyxis support?
Pyxis supports KNX, HDL Buspro, TIS, Smart-Bus G4, Loxone, Modbus, MegaD and MQTT. Several protocols can work on one Pyxis controller at the same time; how each of them connects is listed on the compatibility page.
Which voice assistants work with Pyxis?
Pyxis works with Apple HomeKit, Matter, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Yandex Alice, Marusia and Sber Salute. Apple HomeKit and Matter run locally on the controller and are not certified; the other assistants connect through the Pyxis cloud.
What hardware does Pyxis need?
Pyxis needs an ARM single-board computer (armv7 or arm64) with a 5 V 3 A power supply, a microSD card of 16 GB or more (class 10) and a wired network connection. For Raspberry Pi 3B+ and 4 there is a ready SD card image; other boards and Linux PLCs install Pyxis via Docker.
How much does Pyxis cost?
Pyxis can be used free of charge in test mode with all features, limited to 5 accessories; Pyxis Link gets 10 trial connections. A licence removes these limits and is sold in the Pyxis shop at shop.pyxis.cloud; the retail price is set by the installer, because installation costs differ from country to country and region to region.
What is Pyxis Link?
Pyxis Link is remote access to the bus of a site: ETS or HDL Buspro Setup Tool on the installer's Windows PC works with the bus as if the laptop were plugged into the panel. Pyxis Link works with KNX and, over IP, with HDL Buspro, TIS and Smart-Bus G4; access is granted by the house owner, every controller gets 10 trial connections, and a paid licence makes them unlimited.
Which apps control Pyxis?
Pyxis is controlled from the Pyxis app for iOS, iPadOS, macOS and Android, from the web version at app.pyxis.cloud, from the built-in web interface of the controller and from the voice assistants' own apps. All of them share one state.
How is Pyxis updated?
Pyxis updates itself: new versions arrive automatically, and installing one takes only a short restart of the controller — no reinstall and no site visit.
