Thank you for interest to Pyxis software solution. Pyxis 4.1.0 is next generation of Pyxis software.

We have fixed “old” bugs, added renewed drivers, new web interface, anti-doubling protection and other new features

In Pyxis 4.1.0 added:

Setup of HDL Buspro

After turning on Raspberry Pi with Pyxis 4.1.0, please type in web browser http://pyxis.local  or IP address of Pyxis.

You will get new web interface. It has same look as a Pyxis App for Android. You can make all same setups in Pyxis App for Android too:

 

In the bottom, you can find 3 buttons: Rooms, Scenes, Settings.

For setup configuration, click on Settings button. You will get settings page. Enter login and password (admin and admin) and push green button “1.LOAD SETTINGS”. You will see notification on the bottom “Config upload successfully”, otherwise you will see notification “Error in upload config”. If upload was successful, push on red button “2.SETUP”

You will get Settings page. On this page you can see:

  • control buttons on the top (cancel, save, restart, shutdown and expand SD)
  • HWID
  • Raspberry Pi IP address
  • License status (PRO or FREE)
  • Links to our web resources (green pointer, under Expand SD)
  • settings sections
  • update section

Setup menus

1. Choose technologies

Clicking on this section, you will get menu for choosing technologies. Please turn off unused technologies, to get more CPU power. After restart, unused technologies, will be disabled automatically. After choosing, please click on “Save” button in the right top.

2.  Setup license mode

In this section, you can add license key and choose technology for free mode. After changing settings, do not forget click on “Save” button in the right top.

 

3. Setup Login | Password

In this section, you can change Login and Password to entering in settings. We recommend to change Login and Password for improving Security.

4. Add rooms

This section allow to add, edit, delete, customize name of you rooms and create speech titles for using Amazon Echo and Google Home voice control. Rooms, created in this item will appear in Pyxis App. Please, do not forget click on “Save” button in the right top.

5. Advanced technologies setup

In this section, you can change and set advanced features. Please, do not forget click on “Save” button in the right top.

a) Homekit – you can change name of Homekit device,change pin for pairing or unbind iOS devices.

b) HDL – you can connect to HDL Bus Pro using USB-RS-485 converter.

c) G4 – you can connect to Smart bus using USB-RS-485 converter.

d) Modbus -this settings allow to set Pyxis for working with Modbus devices.

e) Audio/video control – for set IP control AV devices (Samsung TV, Custom terminal and Blustream matrix).

f) KNX – this settings allow to set Pyxis for working with KNX devices. If you use KNX in tunneling mode,change only IP address. If you use KNX in multicast mode, you no need to change this settings.

 

g) MQTT – this settings allow to set mqtt driver.

h) Xiaomi – this settings allow to set Xiaomi MiHome.

i) Z-Wave – this settings allow to set Pyxis for working with Z-Wave devices.  We made integration, based on Open-zwave driver.

j) Speech recognizer – this settings allow to set speech recognizer and choose Google Home and Amazon Echo voice control.

 

6. Add accessories

In this section you can add, edit, delete and set accessories for HDL Bus Pro.

For HDL Buspro you can set:

  • a) lightbulb relay — for any light device,
  • b) lightbulb dimmer – for any dimming device,
  • c) lightbulb RGB – for RGB device,
  • d) switch — for any relay loads,
  • e) outlet — for any outlets (relay loads),
  • f) thermostat — for control climate, using HVAC or IR commands, via DLP and  MPTL14.46 panels,
  • g) floor heating – for control temperature of floor heating,
  • h) window covering – for control shades,
  • i) temperature sensor — for indication of temperature,
  • j) contact sensor — for indication status of contacts (NO or NC),
  • k) leak sensor — for indication status of leakage,
  • l) light sensor — for indication lighting value,
  • m) humidity sensor — for indication humidity value,
  • n) motion sensor — for detecting movement,
  • o) music player — for control some Z-Audio functions (PLAY/STOP),
  • p) IR emitter,

7. Add scenes

You can create many scenes and use it for control your devices. In this version you can create scenes for lights.

After creating rooms, accessories and scenes, save all changes and restart Raspberry Pi.

Adding the Xiaomi Gateway to Pyxis

 

Android: First, you need to install Mi Home App for Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xiaomi.smarthome

  • Install the App on a Android device
  • Set the region; Mainland China (language can set on English)
  • Connect, using MiHome App, all Xiaomi devices to Gateway.
  • Select your Gateway in Mi Home App
  • Then tap on 3 dots at the top right, push on “About” ==> “Gateway information”.
  • After that you will get some information about Gateway and connected devices. In the bottom you will see two buttons with Chinese words. Tap on left button and you will get password.
  • Copy this password in the Pyxis interface
  • Do not change here something! If you change something, you lose your password!

Now choose the second new menu option, and note down the IP address after “localIp”. Make the IP static in your router!

 iOS: You first need to enable local network functions by using the iOS Mi Home App

  • Install the App on a iOS device
  • Set your region to: Mainland China and English language
  • Select your Gateway in Mi Home App
  • Tap on 3 dots at the top right of the screen
  • Then click on “About”
  • Tap under “Tutorial” repeatedly. You should see  5 extra options (3 options in Chinese).
  • Choose the second Chinese option

  • You will see password

  • Copy this password in the Pyxis interface
  • Do not change here something! If you change something, you lose your password!

i) Z-Wave – this settings allow to set Pyxis for working with Z-Wave devices.  We made integration, based on Open-zwave driver.

j) Speech recognizer – this settings allow to set speech recognizer and choose Google Home and Amazon Echo voice control.

For getting SID of MiHome devices, go to “5. Advanced technologies settings” and click on “Get Xiaomi device list”.

In new tab of browser, you will get lict of devices with SID’s and channels. Fill this information for adding Xiaomi MiHome accessory. In version 4.5.1, you can choose devices in drop-down menu in Accessories setup as well.

For getting No of USB port with Z-wave adapter, tap on USB PORT LIST. You will see USB port list of Raspberry Pi.

Homekit setup

Google Home setup

 

Important note: on May 2018, this Google Home integration not work. For getting Google Home or Google Assistant integration, use Pyxis version 5.1.1

Enter in web interface of Pyxis, using IP address or link http://pyxis.local.

Choose in section “1 Choose technologies” – Speech recognition. Save changes.

In section “5 Advanced technologies setup” choose Recognizer type – Google Home or Amazon Echo.

 

Save changes and restart Raspberry Pi.

 

Connect your Smart Home devices, using Google Home App.

 

 

 

 

 

 

10. Choose Philips HUE device and pair.

 

 

 

11. Wait ,until Google Home find your devices. When Google Home will finish, you will see information that pairing complete. After that push “Assigh Rooms”.

 

12.  Then push “Done” in next step of setup.

 

13. Find your devices in Google Home App. Now, you can control light devices by Google Home.

 

Important note: this setup made on Android Device. Google Home App on iOS have some bugs and you may faced some troubles.

Please note, if you want to use Google Home in test mode (without license key), choose in “Setup license mode” section, in  “Choose technology for free mode ” line – Speech Recognition. Then save changes and restart Pyxis. After that, you can find devices in Home App for Android.

Amazon Alexa setup

Enter in web interface of Pyxis, using IP address or link http://pyxis.local

Choose in section “1 Choose technologies” – Speech recognition. Save changes.

In section “5 Advanced technologies setup” choose Recognizer type – Google Home or Amazon Echo.

 

Save changes and restart Raspberry Pi.

Connect your Smart Home devices to Amazon Echo using: App, Web interface or voice control (ask:  “Alexa, find my Smart Home Devices”).

When Alexa stop discovering, she will inform about finding devices. In Alexa App and in Web interface you will see discovered devices.
